With the release of the Clone Wars
Volume II DVD, we are pleased to offer a selection
of one-of-a-kind sketches, layouts, and animation cels from this innovative
series exclusively to our shoppers. You can now own a
special one-of-one hand-painted animation cel of Anakin Skywalker from Clone
Wars, episode 24. From Acme Archives, this special edition cel
has been prepared from the original line drawing and transferred
to acetate, then hand-colored by a studio artisan. As with
most modern animation, Clone Wars employs digital scanning and coloring
to finish the hand-drawn artwork seen in the series. Years
ago in traditional animation, each cel was drawn, transferred to
acetate, colored, and then photographed. Because of digital innovations, there
is no longer a need for the time-honored acetate cel.
However, because fans have demanded them, Acme Archives has created
special one-of-one edition cels produced in the hand-colored tradition, with
a select handful being made available exclusively at StarWarsShop. Your
one of a kind hand painted cel will include the
original line drawing from which it was transferred, presented against
an acid-free laser reproduced background. This setup will come matted
and include a Lucasfilm seal and certificate of authenticity. Overall
measurements with matte are approximately 13" x 19". Clearly, the
Clone Wars will remain an integral part of the Star
Wars saga long after the series has ended. Be sure
